My dear dear friends is pregnant and is due in late April. She recently told me her good friend bailed out on throwing her a baby showering, so i decided why not. The problem is.... I've never thrown a party on my own, let alone a baby shower.
Here's what i've come up with so far.
She's having a girl and my friend has always been into pageants and always dreamt about becoming Miss America.
So i decided i would throw a little princess theme, give everyone little tiaras and have the cake say 'Future Miss America' or something like that. well.... that's all i got.
If you pop girlies have any ideas you can throw out, along that line or games. Please, it would be greatly appreciated.

I remember there was an episode of The Girls Next Door where they had a baby shower games where they had softened candy bars in diapers and the guests had to guess what candy bar was in the diaper. This seems gross to me, but whatever
At my sister's baby shower, the hostess clipped laundry clips to everyone's top and if one of the guests ever said the word baby, the person who catches the guest saying baby could take their laundry clip. At the end of the party, the person with the most clips got a prize.
1You could buy little tiara's for favors, since you are having pagent theme. or maybe even sashs. I dont know where you could find them at though. I know that there are a couple of tiara websites where you can buy in bulk because I threw my friend a princess themed shower and got all the tiaras for like $34 bucks or something. google tiara and see what you come up with.
That game that lorelei mentioned where there are candy bars mashed up in the diapers is fun, it does sound and feel gross though. There is also a game where you have everyone taste different types of baby food and the person with the most right answers win. that is actually a hard game because to me, all the baby food tastes the same.
Ummmm, There is also another REALLY fun game, which only works if the babys father is going to attend, where the guy has to tie a pillow on his stomach under his clothes so he looks preggers too, and then they have to put diapers on a doll while holding a phone to their ears at the same time.... this really isnt a game, but it is a break from the games and gives the people in attendance a break to laugh at the new mommy and daddy to be.
