I just saw Kanye West perform and i think he's a creative genius but good lord the guy sample so much from other artist. There really isn't that much originality when it comes to the music. But i can't deny that it's great that he samples all different types of genres. Those who would have never listen to a Steely Dan track is probably jamming to 'Champion' not knowing they are jamming to Steely dan

I've never heard any of his stuff before.
1The whole sampling phenomenon seems to be a trend for most rap artists- but that list was amazing at just how many artists he "sampled"!!
2kymmeisme- i totally realized that after i posted that. I thought wait a minute most rap artist sample from everyone.
But really like how Kanye samples his music, he's way better than diddy who does it in every song he has.
3tdsollog-i'm not a huge fan of mainstream hip hop music but i really enjoy his stuff. he likes to put all sort of genres in his music which i think is awesome for hip hop music. It's nice to go outside the norm.
